MEET THE TEAM
MONICA WALLACE BVMS CertSAS MRCVS

Monica qualified in 1994 from the University of Glasgow Vet School. She began working at Mintlaw Vets in 2001 and became a director in 2004.
Monica is an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery and has a particular interest in orthopaedics.
She enjoys touch rugby and keeping fit. Monica has a Border Collie called Case.
SHEILA KERR BVMS MRCVS

Sheila qualified in 1981 from the University of Glasgow Vet School and has been with Mintlaw Vets since 2004.
Sheila lives not too far from the beach and can be found walking there with her two lurchers Mungo and Nina. Sheila enjoys painting and cross stitch and has started ceramics with Connie and Carol as the Clola Crafters.
CONNIE ROBERTSON


Practice Manager Connie has been working for Mintlaw Vets since 1997! She has seen the business grow from one nurse, one trainee nurse and herself. Connie became a director in 2004 along with Monica.
Away from work, Connie likes travelling, gardening, painting, baking and coastal walking. She has a cat called Tiny, who is not so tiny anymore!
Maureen Murray

Maureen joined Mintlaw Vets in 2005 and has worked for many years as a vet receptionist.
She has no pets at the moment but with eight grandchildren she is kept busy outside of work.
Kirsty Tait RVN

Kirsty qualified as a vet nurse in 2009 from Edinburgh. She worked in a variety of practices in Manchester, including an Exotics Vet. She has an interest in surgical and medical nursing and enjoys lab work.
Kirsty enjoys looking after her two nieces and relaxing with a glass of wine with her cat Oscar.

Kim Smith RVN

Kim qualified as a vet nurse in 1998. She worked for a veterinary hospital in Fife for 17 years and joined Mintlaw Vets in January 2016. Her passion at work is dentistry, particularly dental clinics and giving your pets teeth a good scale and a polish.
Kim has two dogs Rogue and Peanut.
ASHLEY BERESFORD BVMS MRCVS

Ashley studied vet medicine in the Caribbean at St Georges and then continued with her clinical training in Washington State America. Ashley studied critical and emergency medicine in Alaska.
Relocating to Aberdeen she worked as an emergency ER vet at Vets Now in Aberdeen.
Ashley joined the Mintlaw Vet team in 2016.
EMMA DAVIDSON BVMS MRCVS

Emma is from Northern Ireland. She has worked in Aberdeenshire since graduating from Edinburgh Vet School in 1996.
Emma has particular interest in chronic pain management and practices acupuncture.
Emma is kept busy being mum to two small boys and Jock, their adolescent Labrador. She enjoys running, pilates and the great outdoors!
Lauren Ledingham (Small)

Lauren has three cats Sox, Jimmy and Betty and two dogs; Ty and Maggie.
In her spare time she likes to walk her dogs, watch netflix and chill. Lauren loves to bake and often brings cakes into work
 
 
Lauren McNeil (Tall)

Lauren has a HND in Animal Care which she obtained in 2015 from North East Scotland College.
In her spare time she likes to walk her dogs Maggie and Sheba. She also has a rabbit and three guinea pigs.

Nikki Minty RVN

Nikki joined the Mintlaw Vet team in 2010 as a student vet nurse and qualified in 2013.
Nikki has a particular interest in phisiotherapy and in patient care.

Reception
Paula Manuel RVN

Paula started with us in September and has been a vet nurse for seven years. For the first 3 years Paula worked in a mixed practice in Couper, Fife and for the last 4 years she has been working at Inglis Vet Hospital in Dumfermline. Paula is a trained hydrotherapist and has a passion for inpatient care.



Lianne Cassie

Lianne has been with us since 2011 and became part of the reception team in 2012. She has a Honours Degree in Visual Communications which she obtained in 2012.
Lianne can be found most mornings walking her staffies; Stella and Lexi at the beach.  
Shirley Strachan

Shirley joined the reception team in 2010. On her holidays she likes touring Scotland in her caravan and lives with three dogs; Raisin, Jasper and Gizmo and her two cats; Suki and Shimmer.
Dawn Holroyd

Dawn has worked in reception since 2006, having previously worked for an equine veterinary clinic. Dawn has a PDQ in Animals as Therapy and has a large menagerie at home, ranging from horses to parrots and peacocks.
Dawn is also kept busy by her three boys who are still at home and her grandaughter.
Winnie Thain

Winnie joined the Mintlaw Vet team in July 2016. Winnie has five grandchildren and when they are not keeping her busy she enjoys to knit.
She has a cocker called Bramble who is 15 years old!

Audrey Clark

Audrey is our cleaner and nursing assistant who joined us in 2013. She has years of experience with animals having worked in a dairy and latterly in a kennels.
Audrey has no pets but her grandchildren keep her busy.
Laura Sinclair RVN

Laura is currently on maternity leave after having her second baby.
Charlotte Pryde-Firmin

Charlotte is a 2nd year vet nurse student and will be with us on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the next year. Charlotte has 3 dogs, 2 rabbits and about 30 chickens! She is excited to meet our clients and their pets.
Vet nurse Kirsty is Charlotte's clinical coach and will train her through the year.
